Where Can I See Dr. Donnica on TV This Week? (Far Hills NJ, 11/29/09):

Dr. Donnica joins Dr. Mehmet Oz to discuss Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) on "The Dr. Oz Show" Thurs. Dec. 3, 2009 (check local listings for times and stations).  The segment covers the basics of CFS as well as the new findings of an association between CFS and the retrovirus XMRV.  "While we don't yet know if XMRV is a causative agent, a piggy-back virus, or a red-herring, we do know that it confirms the biological basis of CFS," Dr. Donnica says.  "These findings also send a loud and clear message to the CDC, NIH, and every academic research institute that we need to accelerate research into how CFS and XMRV are transmitted and treated," she adds.  "The good news is that we currently have several antiviral medications available as well as one new medication specifically for CFS treatment awaiting FDA review and approval.  Now we need a focused research effort to see if they work," Dr. Donnica notes.

In honor of Thanksgiving-and the beginning of the six week holiday season-Dr. Donnica discussed "Holiday Waist Management" on ABC's "Good Morning Amercia Health".  Dr. Donnica offered several holiday weight management and stress-busting tips.  To view this segment, click here.  To read the companion article, click here

Previously on "Good Morning America Health", Dr. Donnica answered several viewer questions in the popular "You Asked, GMA Health Answered" segment.  Not surprisingly, most were still about H1N1 flu and vaccines.  To view the segment, click here
