Where can I see Dr. Donnica on Television This Week?

(Far Hills NJ, 10/19/09):

On ABC's "Good Morning Amercia Health" today, Dr. Donnica debunked several myths about the first trimester of pregnancy.  "Myths about in pregnancy," Dr. Donnica noted, "in large part to try to explain much of its mystery."  For this reason, many myths circulate about ways to tell if you're having a boy or a girl (FACT:  the only way in to tell in the first trimester is with a chorionic villus sampling procedure, CVS) and even more myths circulate about what factors cause miscarriages.  Other myths include those about not taking any medications whatsoever, not having massages, and other risks.  To view this segment, click here.

In last week's segment on "GMA Health", Dr. Donnica and Tanya Rivero discussed the ground-breaking publication in Science (10/8/09) which identified a link between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and the XMRV (xenotropic murine leukemia-related virus) retrovirus in the blood of 67% of 101 patients with CFS.  "While this does not identify the cause of CFS, it is yet another piece of compelling evidence documenting the biological basis of CFS," says Dr. Donnica.  "This underscores the urgent need for a substantial increase in research focused on the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of CFS," she added.  To view this segment, click here.  To view her previous segment on "Good Morning America Health" discussing what CFS is, click here.  To read Dr. Donnica's 5-part series on CFS, click here.

On GMA Health 10/16/09, Dr. Donnica answered several viewer questions.  It was no surprise that most of them were about the H1N1 vaccine and who should or shouldn't get it.  In addition, she answered questions about tired, achy legs & stem cell research.  To view this segment, click here.  To submit it a question for possible coverage in a future "Ask GMA Health" segment, click here and fill out the form on the lower right portion of the page.

In addition to what we need to know to protect our own health, women also need to know about the health risks and conditions which affect our loved ones.  Dr. Donnica discussed "What Women Need to Know About Prostate Cancer" on "Good Morning America Health" on September 17, 2009.  To view the segment, click here

"Good Morning America Health" airs weekdays at 2:00 pm EST & 5:30 pm EST on ABC News NOW, the ABC News' digital cable network, available on cable, broadband and mobile.
