Dr. Donnica returns to another E! Entertainment Special which debuts on Wed. Nov. 11, 2009 at 8 pm EST: "15 Remarkable Celebrity Bouncebacks". In this 2 hour special, she discussed celebrities who have gained and lost weight, either intentionally for roles or pregnancies, or unintentionally for various reasons. "While celebrities certainly have many advantages, they generally have many of the same life challenges as the rest of us," Dr. Donnica says. "They just have to deal with their challenges while under the glare of the paparazzi." Dr. Donnica discusses the various strategies used by celebrities to get their red carpet physiques and how they may or may not help others. "It may be surprising to many that most of these celebrities were motivated by health concerns rather than beauty concerns," Dr. Donnica notes. The show will be re-run on Sat. 11/14 (2-4pm EST); Sun. 11/15 (5-7 pm EST); Thurs. 11/19 (8-10 pm EST); Fri. 11/20 (3-5 pm EST); Sun. 11/22 (7-9 pm EST and 12--2 am EST); and Thurs. 11/26 (2-4 pm EST).
On ABC's "Good Morning Amercia Health" yesterday, Dr. Donnica debunked several myths about incontinence, the involuntary loss of urine. In honor of Bladder Health Awareness Month, Dr. Donnica talked about how incontinence affects up to 33 million Americans, how it is NOT a "natural consequence of aging", and how up to 80% of sufferers may be successfully treated with various behavioral, pharmacological, or minimally invasive surgical procedures.
